We imagine a future where finding a game is as normal as checking the weather, no matter which city or neighbourhood you're in. Football is already everywhere, we're just building the layer that makes it easy to find.
Who we are
A small team building from lived frustration.
PLAYDEY started the way most of these ideas do, watching a group chat argue for an hour about who still owes money for last week's pitch, while three people who wanted to play that night had nowhere to go. We're early, we're still building, and we're doing it deliberately rather than rushing to be everywhere at once.
How we work

Rather than launching broadly and thinly, we're starting with real supply in a small number of places before expanding. A marketplace only earns trust when both sides can rely on it.
Supply before scale
A handful of turfs with real, accurate availability beats a long list nobody can actually book.
Community-led growth
Existing football groups and weekly regulars are how we spread, not ads, at least not at first.
Fair to everyone involved
Clear payments, fair cancellation terms, and turf owners who get paid on time.

Built by a small team obsessed with football and marketplaces.
We're a small, hands-on team with backgrounds spanning product, engineering, and years of organizing grassroots football ourselves. Right now that means wearing a lot of hats at once, more detail on who's behind PLAYDEY is coming as we get closer to launch.
